Can You Really Trust Agency Reports?

Many brands entrust their advertising processes to agencies. At the end of the month, detailed reports arrive: impressions, clicks, conversion rates, ROAS. The report may be accurate, but it may be incomplete. Because most agency reports measure advertising performance, not the real profitability of the business.

Advertising may appear to be working well, but when sales channels and costs are not examined together, the picture can be misleading. For example, a campaign may have achieved high conversions, but if that product has a high commission rate or excessive shipping costs, the net profit may fall below expectations. In this case, while the business thinks it is growing, it may actually be losing margin.

Working with an agency is not wrong. However, having control entirely outside your hands is risky. As a business owner, you should be able to see total ad spend, revenue distribution by platform and efficiency rates in your own dashboard. Being able to track data independently is the foundation of a healthy business partnership. Trust is important, but seeing the data is more important.
