How is your data protected?

Every application that connects to the Amazon SP-API must comply with specific security standards to protect seller data. In addition to these standards, hyWick operates a KVKK- and GDPR-compliant infrastructure.

Connection Method	OAuth 2.0. Your Amazon Seller Central password is never stored by hyWick; only the refresh token issued by Amazon is kept.
Encryption at Rest	AES-256-GCM envelope encryption (DEK to KEK pattern). All stored API credentials are encrypted.
Encryption in Transit	TLS 1.3. All communication with Amazon and with the customer takes place over an encrypted channel.
Data Access	Read-only. Under no circumstances are your product, price, stock, or order details modified by hyWick.
Data Retention	Sales and order data are kept for 90 days. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from the production database within 30 days.
Data Sharing	Your data is never shared with third parties. It is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.
Authorization	Role-based access control (RBAC). The permission of each member of your team can be controlled separately.
Auditability	All data access events are kept under audit logging.
Infrastructure	Runs on enterprise providers such as Vercel (Frankfurt region), Neon Postgres, and Supabase Auth.
Compliance	KVKK (Law No. 6698) and GDPR compliant. Explicit consent tracking and data deletion request processes are part of the standard flow.

Which data does hyWick read from your Amazon account?

Transparency is our priority. Below is the list of data that hyWick reads, and does not read, from your Amazon Seller Central account.

Compliance with Amazon security requirements

Providers using the Amazon SP-API are required to implement specific security controls. Here is how hyWick responds to these requirements:

Incident Management

When a suspicious data access is detected, the relevant account connection is automatically suspended, the account owner is notified by email, and our development team initiates the incident management process. All incidents are documented under audit logging.

Data Retention

Sales and order data are limited to 90 days. When a user deletes their account, all of their data is permanently removed from the production database within 30 days.

Network Protection Controls

All endpoints are protected with HMAC-signed cookies. CORS policies are defined. Webhook calls are signed with HMAC-SHA256, and every incoming request is verified against its signature. DDoS protection is active at the infrastructure provider level.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to connect my Amazon account?

hyWick uses the OAuth 2.0 flow officially approved by Amazon. During this flow, your Amazon Seller Central password is not transmitted to hyWick; only a token recognizing the permissions you select is issued. You can revoke this permission at any time through Seller Central.

Can hyWick change my products, prices, or stock?

No. hyWick Amazon integration operates with read-only permission only. Data such as your products, prices, stock, or order status are not modified by hyWick.

How long is my data stored?

Your sales and order data are kept for 90 days. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from the production database within 30 days. You can send your data deletion request to info@hywick.com.

Can I connect other Amazon marketplaces as well?

All Amazon marketplaces under the same seller account (DE, FR, IT, ES, UK, NL, etc.) are included in hyWick with a single connection. You can create comparative reports across marketplaces.

Can I disconnect at any time?

Yes. You can disconnect in two ways: (1) through the hyWick dashboard using the Remove Amazon connection option, or (2) through Amazon Seller Central by revoking the hyWick permission from the Apps and Services section. In both cases, data retrieval from Amazon stops immediately.

Is there an extra fee?

How long does setup take?

A typical connection is completed in 5-10 minutes. From the Apps and Services section in Amazon Seller Central, you select hyWick, approve the OAuth flow, and return. After data retrieval, the last 30 days of historical data are loaded in the first synchronization.
